LEGAL/COMPLIANCE ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

(TEMP)

The temporary Legal and Compliance Administrative Assistant provides administrative support for a variety of administrative and clerical support for the Legal and Compliance department. Assist with research, data collection, document tracking and retention. Reviews, edits, and draft internal documents for department. Understand, embrace and embody the mission of FLRish Retail Management Company, Inc. (RMCO).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (This list is not intended to be all inclusive)

  • Collect data across entities to create and organize systems of record and document retention using company provided filing methods and software programs; Asana, Google docs, and Contract Room.
  • Research compliance and legal topics, including but limited to statutes, regulations, cannabis subject matters (products, events, news).
  • Professionally compose and format documents including letters, memo, reports, charts, and other documents. Distribute documents to the appropriate individuals or companies as directed.
  • Schedule and oversight of meeting minutes, or other program documents e.g. preparing, filing and archiving as it relates to our compliance program or special projects.
  • Maintain existing programs by developing or editing forms for compliance programs.
  • Collaborate with manager in developing written instructions and training documents for required programs as directed.
  • Screens calls and emails, follow up on phone and email messages and orders office supplies.
  • Make travel arrangements for Chief Compliance Office, Director of Compliance and Associate Counsel.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

  • Work is generally performed seated and requires some bending, stooping and reaching.
  • Work is generally performed in an office type setting, in a farm setting, or over the phone.
  • Lifting up to 20 pounds
  • Frequent contact with others via email, face-to-face discussions, and telephone.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Prior experience (4+ years) in similar or related work such as wholesaling, logistics or project management
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or other relevant field or equivalent life experience
  • Experience working in medical cannabis industry preferred but not required
