SaaS Sales Business Development Representative

MJ Freeway is the leading seed to sale software serving the medical and recreational cannabis markets in the US, Canada, and an increasing number of locations around the globe. We are providing a solution that enables our customers to meet changing regulations in addition to running efficiently and intelligently.

Objective:

A Business Development Representative is a very essential role, often serving as the first contact with a prospective client. They respond to all inquiries for MJ Freeway products and services, provides the company introduction and qualifies the prospective client's needs. They cultivate leads and convert them to qualified opportunities for the sales team.

Responsibilities:

  • Learn the MJ Freeway product and messaging
  • Learn the tools necessary to be successful: Salesforce, Yesware, Ring Central
  • Build relationships with your sales and professional services counterparts
  • Learn the cannabis industry and become an expert who adds value to every conversation.
  • Make outreach calls to inbound prospects who have signaled interest in our platform.
  • Attend trade shows and represent MJ Freeway and our products and services
  • Achieve activity metrics assigned for phone calls, decision maker contacts and qualified opportunity conversions for the sales team.
  • Maintains call volumes combining response to inbound inquiries and outbound cold calling to achieve conversion metrics.
  • Continuously develops him/herself through ongoing education

Requirements:

  • Outstanding communicator with ability to work collaboratively across other organizations
  • Role will be based in Denver office
  • A minimum of 1 years sales or business development experience is preferred.
  • CRM (Salesforce.com) experience is preferred.
  • Experience working with SaaS and B2B products
  • Bachelor's degree in business, communications, or a related field
  • Passionate advocate of our company values
  • Experienced with presentation skills via phone, online and in person
  • The ability and desire to work in a fast-paced challenging environment
