We are looking for a full-time Application/Grant Writer in the Denver, Colorado area to write cannabis license applications on a day to day basis. If you have been a successful Grant Writer, we want to talk with you! This is a unique opportunity to assist the 3C during a period of rapid growth and expansion for the company.

The successful candidate will start as an independent contractor with the ability to convert to employee status in the future.

The ideal candidate adapts well to a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, demonstrates flexibility as timelines and priorities change and provides a high degree of attention and responsiveness to the needs of the CEO. Reliability, consistency, and resourcefulness are necessary attributes to succeed in this role.

What will you do as our Application/Grant Writer?

The Application/Grant researches, writes and submits cannabis license applications on behalf of our clients, at the local and state levels. This role will also support the project teams in researching topics, institutions and individuals that may be of support to the mission of the organization.

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

  • Excellent writing skills are a must, including the ability to shift your writing style and purpose to be appealing to the designated target audience.
  • Ability to complete research using online resources
  • Capability to meet firm deadlines


  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrable experience with grant writing and grant research
  • Exhibits superior communication skills, both written and oral. Writes and speaks clearly and informatively; varies writing and presentation style to meet needs; presents numerical data effectively; able to read and interpret written information. Written materials consistently display sound logic and structure, proper use of grammer and appropriate punctuation for emails, letters, reports, memos and presentations.
  • Must be Proficient in an Apple Mac environment
  • Proficient in MS Office and Internet applications.
  • Proficient at the use of spreadsheet applications and presentation software.
  • Ability to synthesize complex and diverse information, analyze facts and data to develop effective and persuasive statements and reports.
  • Ability to develop and present material
  • Ability to solve problems in a timely manner and deal with a variety of variables to arrive at solutions within an established set of guidelines.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions.
  • Ability to listen to and consider diverse ideas and opinions and to make recommendations based on a combination of factors and information.
  • Displays proficiency in planning and prioritizing work activities, uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plans.
