OverviewWe are a start-up dispensary in Monterey California. We are focused on delivering exceptional patient service, great atmosphere, consistency, and quality.Job Summary: The Dispensary Manager is responsible for managing all day-to-day operations of the dispensary in accordance with the local and State laws, standards, and responsible for the overall profitability of the dispensary. The Dispensary Manager provides support to all Cashiers, Dispensary Agents and Patient/Customer Coordinators which includes: scheduling, training, providing policy and procedure updates, keeping updated with industry news and product information. The Dispensary Manager will collaborate with the leadership team to develop, document and implement practices, policies and strategies that support a performance and results-driven culture.Responsibilities IncludeRetail Operations: Assist Founders in design and implementation of business strategies, systems, procedures, production management, plans, and marketing conceptsDrive retail sales and patient/customer retentionMaintain all store operational standardsEnsure compliance with all company policies and procedures and federal, State and local lawsMaintains a safe, clean environment for patients and employeesDirectly supervise all activity within the facilitySet goals for performance and growthOversee daily operations of the company and the work of management (production, marketing, finance, sales etc.)Responsible for sales and customer experience by maintaining a tidy, safe, and inviting storeResponds to all agent questions, concerns or suggestions and takes action when necessary to resolve conflicts;Responsible for delegating tasks to Cashiers, Security, Inventory Specialist and Sales teamProvides superior customer service for vendors, patient/customers and caregivers;Responds to all patient/customer complaints, requests, concerns, suggestions and takes action when necessary to resolve conflicts; andOversees orders and deliveries to ensure accurate order information and timeliness of deliveries. Reports, Documentation and Profitability:Help organizing and creating SOP, emergency procedures and employee records,Patient/Customer Care: Assist patients/customers with their questions, problems and complaintsHandle all patient/customers relation issues in accordance with company policyPromote a positive experience for all patients/customersDirect and oversee all patient interactions and provide clinical counselingMaintain patient/customers confidentialityManage dispensary employees: Lead the team and work effectively with dispensary employeesSchedule, supervise, assign and direct activities of employeesCommunicate information to employees in an open and timely mannerCoach and execute counseling discussions with store employeesConduct performance appraisals for all directly assigned personnel and monitor and manage to expectationsLead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedicationEnsure on-the-job safety of all employees and treatment for employee injuries sustained on the jobResponsible for managing dispensary staff, schedules, inventory and patient/customer relations;Serves as a role model and resource for dispensary staff concerning products and services, policies and procedures, industry news and changes in regulations;Patient/customer and Physician Outreach: Organize and lead guest tours, and maintain relationships with physicians, patients, and professionals in the community that we serveProvide ongoing education and outreach programs relating to medical cannabis for the benefit of member patientsCoordinate on the success of promotions, coupon and recommend future promotions and salesMeasure customer satisfaction through surveys and interviewsResponsible for the preparation of content for all educational materials and presentationsCannabis knowledge: Develop deep understanding of cannabis forms, dosing, drug interactions, and side effectsUnderstand variance strains, potencies, and methods of deliveryUnderstand and recommend dosing based upon patient/customer conditionsSecurity: Responsible for dispensaries security oversightFollow all company safety and security SOPsSupervise delivery operations from dispensary:Coordinates courier staffing and deliverySupervise delivery team while they perform day to day job functionsInventory Management: Inventory audits Inventory orderingKnowledge of METRCEnsure cash receipts are reconciledBasic book keepingRetail accounting practicesOperate POS and corresponding systemsMaintain accurate records of all dispensary activities including daily cash reconciliations, patient/customer records, sales, deliveries and returns in accordance with the State of California and the standards set by Company;Maintain inventory control system and perform daily counts of all marijuana and marijuana products in the facility;Provide regular inventory, sales and profitability reports to the Management Team.Qualifications: Bachelors degree4-5 years experience in progressively responsible retail management environmentExperience working in a regulated industryStrong leadership skills, ability to build and manage teamsAbility to work a full-time flexible schedule, including evenings and weekendsAble to pass background check and provide credit reportMotivated, reliable, dependable and proactiveStrong writing and communication skillsPreferred experience in the cannabis industry but not requiredFluency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google DocsJob Type: Full-timeSalary: $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 /yearExperience:Retail Management: 4 yearsEducation:Bachelor'sRequired work authorization:United States
