Job Summary




The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for all tasks related to maintaining and improving company facilities and equipment. Performs diversified buildings and grounds maintenance and related support tasks at all facilities owned and/or managed by Manoa Botanicals LLC dba Noa Botanicals; performs related duties as required. The Facility Maintenance Technician contributes to the development of new concepts, policies, and procedures as necessary to perform job duties and tasks. This position reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer.

This position is not eligible for relocation assistance; local applicants preferred.

Responsibilities and Duties

CORE JOB DUTIES (includes but not limited to)

  • Respond to and diagnose all facility maintenance and repair requests.
  • Perform rapid repairs in a manner that are consistent with all internal/external safety & compliance regulations.
  • Determine if repairs/maintenance can be done in house or if it needs to be contracted out.
  • Ensure efficient repair schedules and review repair cost estimates with Chief Operating Officer.
  • Prioritize repairs, communicate schedules, and track all equipment downtime.
  • Manage and track, and maintain a preventative maintenance program and schedule for all equipment including HVAC, Electrical, Low Voltage Controls, Plumbing and other complex facility equipment systems.
  • Conduct periodic inspections to determine what repairs are needed, and serve as a point of contact for other employees when they need to report problems.
  • Work with appropriate staff to maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and other items needed to keep up with maintenance and repair needs.
  • Negotiate maintenance contracts and one-time service arrangements with vendors pursuant to relevant company policies.
  • Change light bulbs and air filters, ensure that landscaping needs are met, keep common areas, restrooms, lockers clean and sanitary, make certain that all tools (with the exception of cultivation) are properly cleaned and stored and be sure that spills and other mishaps are cleaned up properly.
  • Keep an inventory of items to cover emergency repairs and scheduled repair and maintenance.
  • Contribute to the needs of project groups through mechanical assistance and calibrations.
  • Ensure that the work is performed to an appropriate quality level and that it complies with company policies, applicable industry standards and legal requirements.
  • Additional Duties as Required.

Qualifications and Skills


  • Knowledge of power/hand tools; agriculture equipment; heavy equipment; maintaining and operating HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical systems and their automation is preferred.
  • Familiar with cleaning and maintenance supplies, hand and power tools and occupational hazards and safety precautions.
  • Ability to drive vehicles in a safe and conscientious manner.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written directions/instructions given in English.
  • Ability to perform skilled laborer work such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and landscaping.
  • Ability to learn basic fire alarm systems monitoring/maintenance.
  • Ability to use basic office equipment (e.g. calculators, typewriters, computers, FAX machine, printers, etc.)
  • Displays high standards of ethical conduct.
  • Works and communicates with all facility staff in providing polite, quality professional service.
  • Displays a high level of initiative, effort, attention to detail and commitment by completing assignments efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Follows policy, cooperates with supervisors and aligns behavior with the goals of the organization.
  • Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the cannabis industry.


  • 3+ years of experience in facility maintenance preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 21 years of age as required by state statute.
  • Must possess a valid driver license, and personal vehicle.
  • Must pass state and federal criminal and fingerprint background checks, per applicable requirements set forth under state statute.


  • Must have reliable transportation; flexibility in scheduling. Working hours may include weekends, holidays and nights.
  • This job function may include walking or standing for extended periods of time, as well as stooping, bending over, twisting, kneeling, crawling and/or crouching. Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 30 pounds (100 pounds with assistance). Must be able to work outside and inside loud, hot or cold working conditions.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to reach with hands and arms, balance and use hands to finger, handle or operate objects, controls, or tools.
