The Dispensary General Manager (DGM) provides effective leadership in order to ensure the Anacostia Organics patient experience exceeds expectations every day. The DGM leads the store business and its organization according to the Anacostia Organics Vision, Mission and Values. In this multi-faceted role, the DGM serves as brand ambassador, patient advocate, staff mentor, supervisor and general manager.Major Areas of ResponsibilityConsistently delivers the ultimate Anacostia Organics Patient Experience in all facets from patient entry to exitAccountable for P and L performance, setting and achieving financial goalsEnsures store activities and staff are in compliance with each States guidelines, including the Department of Health and any other regulatory bodiesFacilitates all store inspectionsMaintains all confidential information according to HIPPA policies and proceduresOversees product quality control, pulling all products that do not meet quality standardsOversees inventory management to ensure inventory is consistently accurate, up to date, effectively ordered and replenished, and that there is no loss or theftRecruits and hires the best employees and oversees staff training according to the Anacostia Organics Training ProgramUltimately responsible for performance management of all staff, including store managementResponsible for ensuring that the physical environment is safe, sanitary and that all equipment is in good working order, and that all preventative maintenance is performed in a timely mannerOversees Anacostia Organicss on-line ordering program and delivery operations, as well as related staffOversees inventory management and weekly ordering processOversees store opening and closing activitiesOversees all store visual merchandisingLiaises with local community, area health providers and manages patient outreach and educational programingCoordinates local marketing/social media with vendors and/or internal business partnersSupervises all Manager on Duty (MOD) functions and performs those duties as neededAccountable for crafting and delivering One Minute Meetings to all staff at opening and throughout the dayAnalyzes data and reports in order to recommend product promotions, adjust schedules, improve profitability and cost managementPrimary ObjectivesEnsure that Anacostia Organics successfully executes its vision, mission, values, and business objectives, delivering an exceptional Anacostia Organics Patient Experience every day.Required Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesMinimum 5 years as a retail manager in charge of customer experienceBachelors DegreeExperience in the medical cannabis industry is highly desirableMust be 21 years of age, able to pass a criminal background check and drug test (Testing positive for cannabis is allowed if candidate possesses a valid MMJ certificate from their state of residence)Demonstrated passion to serving the medical cannabis community and passing product knowledgeProven ability to manage teams effectivelyExcellent communication and customer service skillsSolid understanding of store economics and ability to interpret and act on store KPI dataProficient technological operating skillsExperience in complex, fast-paced store environmentsMeticulous planning skillsAbility to build and foster community and organizational relationshipsAbility to handle confidential and sensitive informationWarm, kind and caring attitudeJob Type: Full-timeSalary: $60,000.00 to $75,000.00 /yearExperience:Retail Management: 5 years
