Operations Manager

A multi-state operator and owner of medical only cannabis cultivation, extraction and dispensing operations. We are seeking a multi-state Operations Manager based out of Denver to support our Colorado, Hawaii and Pennsylvania operations with the possibility of other additional states over time.

The operations position supports the management team (COO, CEO, Dir. OPS) in implementing initiatives for organizational growth. The position supports the execution of multi-state construction plans; dispensary, processing, and cultivation operations; initiatives and projects, while providing ongoing support to optimize process efficiency and improve customer experience.

Candidates must possess or be able to obtain a valid Colorado issued MED badge.

Typical Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 6 pm; occasional weekends may be necessary with travel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the management team in strategic initiatives planning and tactical execution
  • Manage and implement Retail, Grow, Processing and Construction Operations projects, ensuring all deliverables, budgets and deadlines are met
  • Analyze and support all cross-functional corporate and field teams’ initiatives to ensure operational processes are optimized
  • Work cross-functionally with key stakeholders including owners, government, vendors and in-house staff to support implementation and communication of key initiates and plans
  • Travel and support new facility openings including construction, staffing, and support of ongoing operations
  • Help interview, hire and mange staff across multiple states
  • Maintain and drive supply and maintenance vendor relationships to ensure continued productivity and identification of areas of improvement

Qualifications and Competency Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years experience with responsibility for coordinating operations, communication and/or general projects
  • Complete and total trustworthiness and transparency, even in difficult situations
  • Strong analytical aptitude including a strong understanding of key performance indicators
  • Ability to multi-task on various projects and tasks on a daily basis
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with attention to detail
  • Exceptional problem solving skills with the ability to think creatively outside of the box
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically while being able to execute on a tactical level
  • Strong written and oral communications with the ability to understand complex business situations and communicate them
  • Excellent project management skills with track record of successful completion
  • Ability to work well with a variety of levels and functions within the organization
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically up to 80% of the time, typical travel is 25%-50% with certain periods requiring additional travel
  • Show self-motivation, innovation, and the ability to work well with all members of his/her staff and the company, as well as with his/her direct supervisor
  • Have superior time management skills driving efficiency and productivity in execution of goals

Additional Requirements

  • Colorado Driver's License or State ID card
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
  • Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the marijuana industry

Ability to obtain, possess and continually maintain a Colorado MED badge during employment and clear a detailed background check.

Salary: $45,000.00 to $55,000.00 /year
