The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, be a self-starter, and able to anticipate what needs to be done and take action. You must have good analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills. The role will require using project and engineering skills in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.
The role will eventually be based in Mammoth Lakes, CA. Over the next few months, there could be locations where project work will be occurring in the greater LA area.
Relocation is required. The city is undisclosed but is in a scenic and desirable area in North-Central California.
Role Responsibilities:
Interface with design effort in the project phase to provide input to the design of mechanical equipment and systems to improve processes and or implement new processes.
Have responsibility for implementing projects and developing creative rapid solutions involving equipment designs developed in-house and from vendors.
Liaison with operations/engineering team during construction to ensure that equipment is installed per design and meets specs.
Work with vendors/equipment manufacturers to understand equipment facilitates and facilitae safe installation.
Coordinate with 3rd party engineering companies to manage project and administer contracts
Take scope of work and develop cost and capital estimates.
Exercise a disciplined process for project management as appropriate for a fast paced fluid environment
Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Engineering Chemical/Mechanical preferred.
5 plus years of project management experience in a medium to large-sized company especially in a process industry.
Demonstrated experience in developing solutions for small-scale/skid mounted and containerized equipment.
Have a solid understanding and experience with EHS requirements at City, State, & Federal level especially NFPA and CFPC.
Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Professional Engineer Certification in CA.
Experience in bio-based chemical manufacturing plants
Working knowledge of Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing principles
