POSITION SUMMARY

The retail consultant or “budtender” is the face of our company and essentially the face of the cannabis industry. They are the frontline, greeting the customers and helping them through their transaction. We are looking for people who are passionate about cannabis, adaptable to change, and are able to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment. Our employees must be willing and eager to learn about the cannabis plant and its benefits, different strains, products that we sell and much more. Clear and efficient communication skills are essential for providing each customer with knowledgeable information, guiding them through their sale, maximizing their experience and helping them choose the right cannabis product for them. Our retail consultants are more than cashiers; they must be able to educate and build relationships with our customers.

This job also doubles as a front desk associate, performing administrative office-related tasks such as answering the phones and filing paperwork. Both the retail consultant and the front desk associate must remain up to date and compliant with all local and state regulations at all times.

General Retail Consultant Responsibilities:

  • Maintain 100% compliance with all up to date local, state, and federal regulations in a highly regulated, constantly changing industry
  • Check each customer’s credentials (i.e.,MA Medical Use of Marijuana Registration Cards and proper identification) thoroughly and accurately before each transaction
  • Provide knowledgeable, speedy, friendly service to all customers
  • Clean store and parking lot throughout the day to ensure that each customer has the same enjoyable experience as the last
  • Perform running and end of the day side work
  • Work individually and with your team to reach sales goals
  • Ensure that back stock levels are full by communicating with management
  • Resolve customer conflict with a calm and professional demeanor
  • Help customers through their transaction, suggesting products and providing educated advice
  • Handle large amounts of cash, counting accurately and checking for counterfeit bills
  • Ring up transactions accurately into point of sale system
  • Pack up orders, ensuring each product is affixed with its correct label and leaves the building in childproof packaging with a receipt

General Front Desk Associate Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to multitask
  • Check each patient’s Medical Use of Marijuana Card and proper identification thoroughly and accurately
  • Manage customer flow into the dispensary and onto the sales floor
  • Greet all customers that enter and exit the dispensary
  • Answer store phones and provide knowledgeable information
  • Help new customers fill out new patient paperwork
  • File and organize customer information and patient documents
  • Maintain cleanliness of front desk and lobby area

Requirements :

  • A passion for cannabis
  • A positive attitude
  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Must be able to work 8-12 hour days, weekends, nights, and holidays
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be 21 or older
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Must be authorized to work in the US
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds
  • Previous retail experience and/or customer service experience is required
  • Previous experience in a high-volume, fast paced environment is preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $15.00 /hour
