Wholesale Manager


Ensures the filling and execution of all wholesale orders and collective to collective sales with the goal of creating a best in class wholesale supply chain for the organization and its clients and ensuring compliance in every transaction.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (This list is not intended to be all inclusive)

  • Ensuring Wholesale customer compliance: collecting proper documentation needed for collective to collective sales, as determined by FLRish general council, and making documentation available to any necessary parties
  • Working with FLRish Supply Chain manager to ensure Harborside retail locations are well stocked with material from FLRish farm and that Harborside has access to making first selections of all available material
  • Maintaining positive relations with current wholesale clients and developing relationships with new potential clients, including cold calling to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities; identifying decision makers within client organizations to work directly with and set up meetings with; plan presentations and approaches for these meetings
  • Look for opportunities to increase profitability through guaranteed buybacks, collaborations, and other creative partnerships with processors
  • Work with production and delivery team to develop products, services and solutions that address client’s needs, concerns, and objectives
  • Participate in pricing products, solutions and service
  • Handle objections and demonstrate understanding when working through concerns to achieve a positive conclusion; Work with production team and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs
  • Perpetuate Harborside & Harborside Farms brand into new markets.
  • Present new products, services and solutions to enhance existing relationships
  • Utilize existing client database and CRM and look for ways to streamline and efficiently utilize data to better meet client needs and increase effectiveness
  • Wholesale Order Fulfillment: Communicate with Farm staff to ensure all orders placed by clients are filled accordingly and communicate to clients when they will be available; Ensure farm team has 72 hours notice to clients picking up at the farm, and work with farm team to develop methods for fulfillment in less than 72 hours when needed
  • Wholesale Delivery Transport: Scheduling all product deliveries for Wholesale Clients, including Harborside
  • Wholesale Order Processing: Creating invoices for wholesale orders and delivering to clients for approval, collecting payments on wholesale orders for Harborside and for other clients within Net 14, as determined by the Management Services Agreement
  • Understanding the Management Service Agreement (MSA) and ensuring orders are processed accordingly and MSA fees are calculated correctly, working with FLRish team to ensure MSA fees are paid correctly. Arrange payments to farm under MSA agreement for reimbursable fees and product payments for Harborside.
  • Understand and maintain sales expectations, growth expectations, and margin expectations for the FLRish wholesale department*OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: *
  • Facilitate samples getting to lab and input of test results for viewing by Wholesale team.
  • Discover and learn about the current medical and adult use markets for cannabis in California
  • Adapt and innovate as the California cannabis market changes
  • Development of product categories and pricing for product categories from products coming from FLRish farms, including but not limited to: Trimmed Flowers, Trim, Full Plant Material Dry, Full Plant Frozen, Plants (clones, teen plants, and flower ready plants)
  • Attend industry functions, events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and trends.
  • Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to increased sales and profitability.*PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)*

Work Context: Physical Requirements

  • Work is generally performed seated and requires some bending, stooping and reaching.
  • Work is generally performed in an office type setting, in a farm setting, or over the phone
  • Work will require regular travel within California and may include limited travel outside of California
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds

  • Some communication required via mail and fax.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Prior experience (4+ years) in similar or related work such as wholesaling, logistics or project management
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or other relevant field or equivalent life experience
  • Experience working in medical cannabis industry preferred but not required
  • Must be 21+ years old and pass a criminal background check per the City of Oakland
